For sometime now, Charly Boy has been subtly protesting against the government on Twitter with the hastag, #ourmumudondo. Recently, the ace entertainer’s protests became intense as he took it off social media to the streets.
The protest on the street was tagged #ResumeOrResign which was directed solely at the president who has been away on a sick leave for months.
Yesterday, it was reported that Charly Boy was almost lynched in Wuse Market at Abuja by some Northern youths as he went on with his protest.
How Charly Boy Was Almost Lynched At Wuse Market In Abuja
This is what Nigerians are saying as regards the attack.
To think that these APC yoots condemning Charly Boy used to be the first to encourage us to any protest 3 years ago. This pot of beans life.

Those saying Charly Boy should not have gone 2 Wuse Market r insane. So because of Buhari, there r now ‘No Go’ areas for Nigerian citizens?

I’m so sorry Charly Boy, and others who were assaulted at #WuseMarket while trying to protest against this unfortunate Government. So sorry

Today’s “provocation” is Charly Boy protesting bad governance. Tomorrow’s could be your wife or sister wearing jeans.
Where does it stop?

There is an evil in Nigeria: the blaming of victims of violence in the North. Shiites provoked. Bridget provoked. Charly Boy provoked. Haba!
— AYO SOGUNRO (@ayosogunro) August 16, 2017
I hope those who excuse away the shameful attack on Charly Boy, will look away when say, Niger Delta militants declare their “no go areas”?
— Onye Nkuzi (@cchukudebelu) August 16, 2017
Those who defended (or excused away) Northern youths stoning President Jonathan’s convoy will also defend Charly Boy’s attempted lynching.

“Charly Boy shouldn’t have gone to Wuse Market”
Same argument as Sharia zones in UK where “uncovered women” dare not walk.
Patent nonsense

There’s a nexus between the white supremacists who attacked Deandre Harris in Virginia and the almajiris who attacked Charly Boy in Abuja.

They roared that Buhari was no longer popular & Charly boy tested his luck at Wuse market..And the outcome was devastating to him
— APC LOYALIST (@Honayanfe) August 16, 2017
They were going to KILL Charly Boy today. Because he dared to go to Wuse. Though he had every right. You can’t defend that, please stop.
— T. Rankïn’ 🤓 (@AfroVII) August 15, 2017
Wow! It’s amazing how Charly Boy has now become the enemy of the state for demanding something in the interest of the masses. Smh.
