Why Ogenyi Onazi Dumped Trabzonspor For Birmingham City

Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has revealed why he is joining English Championship club, Birmingham City.

Onazi said it was because the club’s manager, Harry Redknapp has long wanted to sign him.

He also said he believed his experience will help the club return to the English topflight.

The Benue-born midfielder is expected to complete his transfer to England within few hours.

Onazi said, “Redknapp first wanted to sign me when he was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, but for some reasons he couldn’t.

“He has called me to say he wants big, experienced players to help his team gain promotion back to the Premier League.
