They’ve been to Egypt, Tunisia, South Africa, Mozambique, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, and now, the SeedStars World crew are preparing to make a stop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this September.
The main pitch event will hold on Wednesday, September 14 2016, and applications are open till Wednesday, September 7, 2016. As usual, only startups that are less than 2 years old, have at least an MVP, and have raised less than $500,000 are eligible.
“We are very excited to bring Seedstars World for the second time to Ethiopia. Last year we were impressed by the quality of the startups and the industries they were trying to disrupt. This year we are looking for even more out-of-the-box, exciting solutions to come our way at our event,” says Selam Kebede, and associate at Seedstars World.
For the event, Seedstars World will be working with IceAddis for a second time. According to IceAddis co-founder, Markos Lemma, “We had a great experience working with Seedstars World in the past two years. We are very excited about this year’s competition as well. Startups in our community hugely benefit from this initiative and gain impactful support and networking.”
