This year’s AfriLabs annual gathering is holding in Ghana from October 25 -27, but before then, the AfriLabs team is organising a series of meetups in 5 African cities – Nairobi, Lagos, Dakar, Johannesburg, and Cairo – this month.
These meetups are going to be interactive and, according to the press release, “…will feature a Co-Creation Ideation – a brainstorming session where attendees suggest innovative ideas and select a project that can be worked on through collaboration on a regional level.”
The dates for the meetups are:
Nairobi – September 16
Lagos – September 19
Dakar – September 27
Johannesburg – October 4
Cairo – October 7
Founded in 2011, AfriLabs is a pan-African network of about 40 technology innovation hubs in 20 African countries. AfriLabs aims at building a community around the rapidly emerging tech hubs in Africa, and each hub of theirs serves as a nexus for entrepreneurs, technologists, investors, tech companies and web/mobile engineers to build and contribute to the innovation economy across Africa.
At the end of these meetups, AfriLabs will work towards getting new and existing partners to support the selected projects in collaboration with the project teams.
The meetups are for everybody – both AfriLabs hub members and non-members – s0 if you’re interested in attending any, register here.
