Ruggedman Blasts EFCC Over Arrest Of 94 “Yahoo Yahoo” Boys In Osun State

Nigerian veteran rapper, Ruggedman has called out the EFCC for detaining Nigerian youths without proper investigation.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed at a night club in Osogbo, Osun state a few days ago and arrested 94 “Yahoo Yahoo” suspects. However, upon investigation, it was discovered that 13 of those arrested were innocent and were set free. This action did not go well with Nigerians as they took to social media to criticize their actions.

Ruggedman took to his Twitter page to call out the agency for arresting innocent people all in the name of keeping the law. According to him, their actions are not any different from the rogue police officers on the streets. He explained that they were not professional in carrying out their duties and only ended up in traumatizing innocent people.

He wrote: Dear @officialEFCC. You are supposed to carry out your investigation first, so you know exactly who you are looking for. How do you arrest first and investigate later? It is not professional in anyway to just arrest and parade people without investigations.

You put them in cells while you “investigate”. You have not rught to put innocent people through such a dehumanizing drama. Do you publicly apologize and compensate the innocent people you traumatised? Or you just do not care.

How does that make you different from the rogue police officers we complain about daily? YOU NEED TO RESPECT HUMAN RIGHTS. YOU DO NOT BREAK THE LAW TO KEEP THE LAW.
