Nigerian producer, Samklef has hailed Wizkid for paying the price for Nigerian artistes internationally.
Earlier making the news for stating that veteran singer, Eedris Adbul Kareem for paying the price for Nigerian artistes locally, the producer has revealed that Wizkid also played the same role but on an international level. The producer took to his Twitter page to make reference to how the “Joro” singer slammed the American Award show, BET in 2015
Wizkid had joined other artistes like Fuse ODG and Yemi Alade to snub the BET awards in 2015 despite the fact that he was nominated for the category of “Best International Act (Africa)”. Wizkid said the reason why he took such action was because the BET organizers had no respect for African Acts. He wondered why the award should be given to the winner before the main show starts.
Samklef wrote: “Idris Abdul Kareem paid a price for Nigerian artist in Nigeria why WiZkid paid a price for Nigeria artiste internationally. B4 Na back stage dem dey give Africans award thanks to WiZkid . And Na 50k to 200k dem be dey artiste for naija that year. Thanks to Idris”
