Rema Calls For Proper Maintenance Of Nigerian Aircrafts Before They Resume Business

Mavin singer, Rema has expressed concern over the current situation of the Nigerian aviation sector.

The Nigerian government recently announced the resumption of its domestic flights from 21 June with a condition that airlines adhere to all necessary industry regulations.  The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) named five airports where flights will resume. These include the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja, Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, Port Harcourt International Airport, and Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri.

However, with the coronavirus still spreading like wildfire and sexual assault cases piling up, Rema seems to be concerned about the safety of Nigerians that would be traveling via air.  The “Beamer” singer took to his Twitter page to advise the Nigerian Aviation sector to ensure that maintenance should be taken on the planes before being allowed to travel again.

He added that test rides should be carried out before allowing passengers on board. He wrote: “Please service the planes before they fly again, take them to the air first before you put passengers on, 2020 told me that.”
