Tems is currently on a hunger strike while still in police custody in Uganda and has insisted she will remain without food until she is released.
Tems and Omah Lay were charged to court on Monday for flouting coronavirus guidelines by performing at an unauthorized concert in the country. However, since she was detained, Tems has refused to eat anything and has insisted she will remain without food until she is released.
Her reason for not eating is not known but social media users are speculating that she is doing that out of fear of being poisoned. “ What if I want to die? I don’t want to eat unless you strap me to a chair and force food down my throat. “I haven’t eaten in the past 24 hours, and I’m not eating for the past 48.”” the “Damages” singer is heard telling a woman in a video that has now gone viral.
