Kabusa Oriental Choir is a rural / urban choir founded by Austin Chinemezu Nwamara AKA ‘Austincan’ who is also the Director.
The choir made her first appearance in March 2019 with a cover of Kizz Daniel’s ‘Baba‘ and ‘Yeba‘ which was created by Austincan and went viral on the internet.
‘Kabusa‘ as they are fondly called has become more than just a household name in music as they have recorded significant growth in both membership and content; one of which is their number one hit song and the unofficial anthem for Valentine’s day – ‘Valentine is coming’ .
Known for setting the tune of any major season the ‘kpokposhi’ crooners are here for Christmas with this mini body of work titled “Jingulu Christmas“.
On this project they bring back all those nostalgic moments that make Christmas memorable for the typical Nigerian / African; Moments like, shooting fire crackers (banger), shopping for new clothes, eating the Christmas Turkey, travelling home for the holidays and so much more.
The Project is divided into three parts which make up one extensive experience, while the Last track (Track 4) is a combination of the first three which is the full experience.
All tracks were produced by David Chifumnanya Elumelu ‘Davidacekeys’, mixed and Mastered by Milla Mix.
The songs are so relatable, especially for Africans at home and in Diaspora to enjoy. Listen below
