Moelogo – “Ireti” E.P

On the back of a breakthrough 2015, which culminated in him being nominated for ‘Best African Act’ at the MOBO Awards, and ‘Diaspora Artist of the Year’ at the NEA Awards, with collaborations with Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32, Avelino, Sneakbo, and Geko among others, British Nigerian Afrobeats artist Moelogo is proud to debut his long-awaited highly anticipated sophomore EP titled Ìréti, premiered via The FADER.

Backed by its critically acclaimed lead single ‘Penkele’ which has been playlisted by Rinse FM, Bang Radio and Reprezent FM, with further support coming from Apple Music’s Beats 1, BBC 1Xtra and Capital Xtra, the Ìréti EP is a perfectly rounded 5-track affair, highlighting Moelogo’s compelling artistry and musicianship, infectious Afrobeats and Dancehall sensibilities, and captivating R&B flavours.

The EP sees Moelogo collaborating with fast-rising producer P2J (Krept & Konan, Trey Songz) to bring all five songs to life, with Mark Asari (LuvBug, Giggs, Angel) co-writing the EP’s opening track ‘Plenty Plenty’, and Ari Pensmith (Trey Songz, Davido, Conor Maynard) assisting on the introspective ‘Some Say’ and the Dancehall-tinged ode to Moelogo’s Peckham hometown ‘My City’.
