Elon Musk says the interior of the Tesla Model 3 will feel like a spaceship

Elon Musk took to Twitter to respond to questions/comments from his followers about Tesla’s first mass market car, the Model 3. The car caused ripples across the interwebs at its big unveil, and racked up hundreds of thousands of pre-orders at $1000 a pop.

It came to light that the presentation we saw last week is far from what the final version will turn out to be. That makes sense, since it doesn’t actually go into production till late 2017. Still, a few users went on to raise concerns about the car’s ergonomics; comfort, et al.

Elon added that the Model 3 will be rear-wheel drive, with an optional dual motor all-wheel drive system available for a little addition to the cost. The rear seat will fold down so you can fit large items in it, you know like the average family car. There will also be a bit of refinement on the edges and contours, so it will likely look very different from the demo pictures we’ve seen so far.

Good luck to Elon Musk and the Tesla team. I’m very excited about what this means for the future of car-tech, but I’m aware that I live in Nigeria, so I cannot partake in the fun. At least, not right now. Epp.
