Popular Yoruba actor, Abdul-Lateef Titilope Ashimiyu aka Alfa Lateef has passed away.
Alfa Lateef, who’s known for starring as an Islamic cleric in movies, reportedly died on yesterday evening after a brief illness.
This is coming barely two weeks after popular actress and wife of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Henrietta Kosoko succumbed to her battle with diabetes.
The deceased’s family have stated that his body will be interred in his family house in Agunpopo, Oyo State by 8:00 am today according to Islamic injunctions.
His death has once again shocked some actors and actresses in the Yoruba film industry. Fans and colleagues of the actor have taken to social media to express their grief about the loss.
This year alone, more than five Nollywood actors have died. They include Sikiru Adeshina aka Arakangudu, Fatai Onibuade, Mike Odachi, Genevieve Nene, Fred Eketa
