The man behind the unfortunate Manchester terror attack that took place on Monday has been named as Salman Abedi from Libya.

Manchester police named the man behind Britain’s deadliest bombing in almost 12 years, but declined to give any further information.

US security sources, citing British intelligence officials, said the attacker was born in Manchester in 1994 to parents of Libyan origin.

Here are 6  quick facts about the Manchester suicide bomber.

1. Abedi is 22 years old.

2. Abedi studied business and management at Salford University for two years – however, a source said he dropped out and didn’t complete the course.

3. The 22-year-old is believed to have travelled up to Manchester by train from London before carrying out the attack.
