E yeh, Yeba!
Sha ma se’gbadun, oyin momo…
Before the release of Yeba, Kiss Daniel had enjoyed a considerably good year, having put out the well heard song, Sofa. He could have been in a better position on the rank for the year, if he released more songs, however sha o.
Well, everyone knows that he is the type of artiste that doesn’t often release projects but whenever he does he comes with the goodies, so his one offering is justified.
Now, the fans’ favourite boy, Kiss has dropped another musical titled Yeba to the delight of music lovers, who have downloaded it, listened to the song and now it is time to fill up the comment section with opinions as to whether Yeba is a hit or a miss.

Kiss Daniel’s Yeba came at a time when a lot of the songs in the industry are tailored to follow one pattern – the pop pon pon template. However, with Yeba, Kiss shows his character as an industry outlier, who would rather create a trend than jump on one.
Instead of using the pon pon pon sound, Kiss goes for a 90’s party themed song with heavy instrumentation, the message of song is “this chic’s ups and downs got me saying Yeba” but Kiss expresses it in a jocular way that you’d have danced half way through the song before you realize that he is actually drawing your attention to a girl with assets, that makes him fall in love.
Yeba is def def a hit and certainly better than most of the latest musical offerings from certain A-list artistes like Wizkid.

Usually we start a review with all of that intro and the bla bla bla… I would prefer we dive right into it. Kiss Daniel’s songs this year have been simply refreshing, why? Because despite the varieties of sounds flowing in the music scene this year, Daniel found a way to stand out get the attention he deserves.
Much credit should be given to Killertunes, I mean who doesn’t love the piano sound on this song? Killertunes is definitely a producer to watch out for, come next year. Let me quickly chip in that the chemistry between him and Kiss will never go unnoticed.
It’s no doubt Kiss Daniel is talented; his writing skills have improved since the release of the New Era album.
Definitely not long from now, I see this boy ruling this industry.
