Rapper, Modenine announced the passing of his father today on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 and made the announcement on his Facebook page. He posted a photo of his dad and wrote ‘R.I.P Dad’.
Fans of the legendary rapper took to his timeline to offer warm thoughts as he processed the loss.
In a brief chat with Modenine, the rapper simply told Pulse “it is well” concerning the loss of his father. The rapper has been in low spirits since the sad incident.
Modenine is widely regarded as Nigeria’s greatest lyricist. His influence in the rap game dates back to the mid ’90’s. Alongside associated acts like Six Foot Plus known for his popular hit ‘E don do me’, Overdose and Terry tha Rapman, and other members of the Hip-Hop group SWAT ROOT, helped give a foundation for rap music in Nigeria.
