Wizkid has missed his first Coachella performance for Saturday, April 14, 2018. He had been slated to perform on the main stage but shared on his Twitter that his band encountered visa troubles and will not be able to make it.
It was announced over 8 months ago that Wizkid would be performing alongside Beyonce in the 2018 Coachella festival in the US, but it looks like that wasn’t enough time for the artiste to sought all necessary documentation needed.
He wrote on his Twitter:
Band had some visa issues…I’m upset bt See y’all next week”

The good thing is he’ll still be performing on the festival’s second week, Saturday, April 21, on the main stage.
But people will be people as they took to social media to either sympathize with starboy or slam him for not being professional. Wizkid, by the way, took it with grace as he understands that people paid hundreds of dollars to see him perform.

Wizkid’s manager needs to do better.. Visa issues, Flight issues and excuses are not making sense anymore.

Davido is really making good use of his dual citizenship. Wish wizkid had same opportunity.
The Nigerian passport is a red flag at the embassy and outside Nigeria,no matter who you really are.

Wizkid isn’t able to perform in the first weekend of Coachella over his band’s visa issues. Some people say “it’s not possible cos he’s popular”. Somalia’s former President, the former World Scrabble Champion in English were all rejected visas recently. These embassies don’t care

If Atiku can be denied a visa, who is Wizkid?

People bought $400 tickets to watch our very own Starboy, Wizkid, but we should pat him at the back and say “thank you for not showing up”. Fans deserve better.

Imagine if Wizkid had gone to the Coachella sef. After Beyoncé’s wonderful performance, we now enter “soco soco soco baby”
Nah fam, he helped us dodge that bullet

Wizkid coming up with excuses these days: Passport renewal got delayed, visa issues, feeling sick, trying to catch his breathe, the loud he smoked was too bad he can’t rehearse …. Davido is always catching flights and turning up! Talent is great, but hardwork cuts the Cheque!

Nigerians like voicing out their anger on wrong issues.
Wizkid said he couldn’t attend Coachella because his band had visa issues but y’all think he is giving flimsy excuses.
You’re following the event on twitter & you’re dragging him like this. What if you bought a ticket?

Wizkid claims his band had Visa issues hence why he won’t be performing at Coachella tonight.
You knew you were going to be at Coachella almost 8 months ago? Y’all couldn’t fix your visa issues since??
Davido’s team will never give such a flimsy excuse.

Wizkid is talented but he can’t be the face of this Afrobeats movement. This thing is bigger than him and we can’t continue to allow unreliable people be the face of a movement we are showing the world. #Coachella

Wizkid will fix his wedding in Dubai and still not attend because of visa issues.

Abeg who is Wizkid’s manager and why do these things keep happening over and over again?
— Wọlé II (@Kingwole) April 14, 2018
Wizkid is very unprofessional and I’m actually shocked at how far he has come with that attitude. It’s actually embarrassing. Like when VICE came to Nigeria to interview him and he couldn’t make time. Lol the entire documentary ended up being about his flakiness. https://t.co/1T4AZwXbkY

Coachella one of the biggest music events and wizkid and his band didn’t sort visa issues like a month prior? Lol
