“Stop Channeling Your Energy To The Wrong Direction” – Burna Boy Slams Those Criticizing “Yahoo Yahoo”

It’s been a really eventful week so far with the Naira Marley, Simi and “Yahoo Yahoo” issue taking over the music industry, creating loads of controversies and having many music celebrities and entertainers give their remarks on them.

The likes of Ruggedman, OAP Dotun and many others have crtitcised singer Naira Marley for coming out to spreading the news that “Yahoo Yahoo” (internet scam) is not a crime if only the events of the slave trade era could be put into consideration while some music celebrities believe the singer should not be criticized because everyone is definitely not ‘clean’ and we are all only being hypocrites.

Meanwhile, during the era of this trending issue Burna Boy was all silent and observing as he focused on his tour. However, he has finally given a remark to the issue, advising everyone channeling their energies on criticizing internet scam to be drawn aback and channel those energies to the right things, to things like the suffering state of the country and its corrupt leaders. Admonishing that we should be more active in these areas rather than wasting all energy on what is really not a priority.

He took to his Instagram story to make the declaraiton, he wrote, “Nigerian my country. Please let us get our priorities straight. I want my children and grandchildren to see Nigeria the way we see the western world. We die everyday at the hands of police. We are robbed of our rights as human beings daily, our recycled leaders don’t give a fvck about us.

“We have real issues we need to channel our energy to. I’m begging you! please let us save ourselves. I don’t even like the internet cos it makes me feel a lot of hopelessness for my people. We are kings and queens, originators and creators, gods on earth! Let’s stop bullshitting here please!!”
