Nigerian singer, Rudeboy has challenged Nigerian Lawmakers for their contribution to corruption scandals plaguing the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Social media has been set ablaze with the theft and corruption scandals that have been rocking The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). The commission’s acting MD, Daniel Pondei suddenly collapsed while being grilled on how the commission spent over 81 Billion Naira during the lockdown.
As if that was not enough, The Minister of Niger Delta affairs, Godwill Akpabio revealed that most contracts from the commission were awarded to members of the National Assembly. This revelation caused Nigerians to speak out via social media and Rudeboy wasn’t left out.
Taking to his Twitter page, Rudeboy complained about how Nigerians would go to school and yet not be awarded contracts. He added that the lawmakers despite collecting various allowances will still collect contracts and bonuses meant for the public. He further revealed that he is waiting for the list of contractors and lawmakers who were awarded these contracts to be published.
In his words: “We go school finish , contract them no give us…. but same lawmakers will collect allowance, collect contracts, collect bonus, pay themselves ?????????? ..still waiting for the list of contractors/ lawmakers ?????????? #NDDC abi e don go under the carpet ?
