“Kanye West Is Not The Richest Black Person In America” – Forbes Refutes
On Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday March 19, 2021, several media sources had earlier reported that Kanye West is now worth $6.6 billion, therefore making history as the richest black man in the history of America. Bloomberg also reported that his sneaker brand Yeezy, as well as Yeezy Gap, have amassed a value of $4.7 billion.
Forbes has come out to state that Kanye not the Richest Black Man in US and Ruled out the Reported $6.6 Billion Net worth. Forbes estimates that the rapper is worth less than a third of that, or $1.8 billion… Sharing “Reports that the celebrity is worth nearly $7 billion are based on the magical thinking around sales that don’t exist yet. This is why he’s currently worth less than one-third of that“.
That is a big jump from last May when Forbes first pegged his net worth to be $1.3 billion, but nowhere near as much as the purported $6.6 billion. Vista Equity’s Robert F. Smith remains the richest Black person in the U.S., worth an estimated $6 billion, while Aliko Dangote of Nigeria, worth $11.8 billion, is the richest Black person in the world. – Forbes Reported
Forbes however claim that Kanye’s sky-high estimates is in an attempt to inflate his worth, although in the past, he has alleged that they were “purposely snubbing” him.
