A video clip of Seun Kuti walking out of the party angrily and later being brought in by his elder brother, Femi Kuti, which was gotten from HipTv’s coverage at the event went viral.

Fela’s Eldest daughter, Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti who just turned 60 came on social media to reveal what really happened between Seun Kuti and Governor Sanwo-Olu. She shared that Governor Sanwo-Olu’s security while doing their course of duty (to secure the Lagos State Governor entry into the party) pushed Seun’s wife and he got upset about the action.
She stated that Seun Kuti didn’t disrespect the Lagos State Governor by walking out on. And further shared that Seun Kuti later met with Governor Sanwo-Olu and explained his actions.
In her words;
“What happened was that the security detail in the course of doing their duty pushed his wife. He got upset at them understandly so, not the Governor. He even explained to the Governor. I beg o! He has home training“
